Advantages of the choice based credit system: 

  • Shift in focus from the teacher-centered to student-centric education. 
  • Students may undertake as many credits as they can cope with. 
  • CBCS allows students to choose inter-disciplinary, intra-disciplinary courses, skill oriented papers (even from other disciplines according to their learning needs, interests and aptitude) and more flexibility for students). 
  • CBCS makes education broad-based and at par with global standards. One can take credits by combining unique combinations. For example, Physics with Economics, Biotechnology with Chemistry or Environment Science etc. 

The main components of RGU Course Structure offered to UG and PG programs are:

III. Discipline Specific Elective – For all programs 

IV. Ability Enhancement Compulsory Course (AECC)- For All programs 

V. Ability Enhancement Elective Course (AEEC)/ Skill Enhancement Elective Course (SEC)- For All programs 

 
SEMESTER SYSTEM 

Each academic year (July to June) shall comprise two semesters viz. Odd and Even semesters. Odd semesters shall be from July to December and Even Semesters shall be from January to June. There shall not be less than 90 working days in each semester (exclusive of the Semester End Examination days.) Longer contact hours in a semester calendar provide more space for better quality of instruction. Moreover, the extra time also allows for greater collaboration with not only peers but with teachers and mentors too. 

PERSONALIZED ATTENTION 

We all need helping hands to steer us in the right direction. That’s where the RGU Mentor-Mentee program plays a pivotal role. Royal Global University (RGU) recognizes the practicality where mentoring can play an important role in the all- round development of its students. 

EVALUATION SYSTEM 

The evaluation system of a paper for a course running under Royal Global University is divided as per the following:

1. The Continuous Evaluation component is again re-divided as per the following connotation: 

  • Class Participation (15%) 
  • Mid-Term Examination (10%)

2. The Semester End Examination (SEE) carries a weightage of 70% and is conducted usually in May-June and December-January for Odd and Even Semester respectively for all papers of a particular course. Based on prescribed course structure, the nature of examination may vary for theoretical and practical papers. 

 
COMPLETING THE APPLICATION FORM 

Fill in the Application Form for the program applied (meeting the eligibility criterion for admission into the program is mandatory) 
Duly filled in application form is to be submitted to the office of the university along with the following: 

  • 4nos of passport size photographs (size 3.5 cm x 4.5cm). 
  • Marksheets from Class X onward (as applicable). 
  • Photocopy of Age Proof. 
  • Photocopy of Admit card/ Score card of qualifying exam. 
  • Valid personal e-mail ID and contact number in the application form. 
  • Application fee of Rs. 1000/- by Demand Draft. 
  • Note* for online submission of photograph/marksheet etc., please use scanned copy in jpg/gif/png/jpeg/bmp format. 

Important: 

  • Incomplete application form will not be accepted. 
  • All supporting documents mentioned above are to submitted 
  • Submission of Application Form does not qualify a candidate to appear for the selection process or admission to any program 
  • Every candidates advised to carry a copy of the Application Form sent in his/her respective email id. 

POLICY FOR CHANGE OF PROGRAM AFTER SELECTION 

Selected candidates can give request for change of program after selection as follows: 

  • The request should be made to the admission office before the last date of payment of the fee as notified in the admission letter. 
  • Minimum eligibility criteria for the requested program should be met. 
  • Request will be considered and approved, subject to the consent of the admission committee 
  • A processing fee of Rs. 10000/- will have to be paid with the fees if transfer request is approved
